As a sculptor, Richard Thompson works in both polished and powder-coated steel. These smaller editioned sculptures relate to Thompson's ongoing investigations into genetic coding and ancestry. In Thompson's Go Figure works he uses a series of male, female and tree motifs, to explore the history of genealogy in religion. While the more abstracted "T" sculptures can be viewed as referencing the Tau cross and also as representing the first letter of his last name.
