Sculpture in the South will present the 10th Exhibit and Sale May 17-18,
2008, in Summerville's Azalea Park, featuring renowned sculptors from
Florida to Oregon. Sculpture in the South has announced that Sculpture
House, Inc. will be the Palmetto Sponsor for the 2008 event. Sculpture
House, Inc., located in Skillman, New Jersey, is known around the world as
the premier source for sculptor's tools. Owner Bruner Barrie serves on the
Board of the National Sculpture Society and is passionate about maintaining
the life of sculpture in this country. Mr. Barrie will be part of the
exhibit in Azalea Park throughout the weekend.
"Part of the mission of Sculpture in the South is to promote sculpture
through education," says Executive Director Charlotte Carroll. "Having
Sculpture House at this year's event will be a great opportunity for
visitors to see and feel the tools that sculptors use. Bruner and Nancy
Barrie are very excited about sculpture, and their enthusiasm is
contagious."
Sponsorship is essential to the Exhibit and Sale. Sculpture in the South
has announced that the 2008 Azalea Sponsors are Oscar's Restaurant,
Woodlands Resort and Inn, Palmetto Primary Care Physicians, Price House
Cottage, King's Inn Bed & Breakfast, and AT&T South Carolina.
Other sponsors for this year's event include P. Brandt Shelbourne, Smokin'
