I am supporting Jenny Horne for House District 94 because she is the better candidate for the job. Jenny Horne is young, energetic and has a vision for a better community and state. She is a mother, a wife, an attorney, an advocate for children, and a small business owner like myself.

Besides being an attorney, she is also a fellow Realtor. Realtors are not responsible for the unbridled growth in our area. Jenny and I have a similar real estate business. We sell resale homes. Responsible growth benefits our clients who have to compete to sell their homes with new construction.

Jenny and her husband, Marc, grew up in this community and they are invested in seeing Dorchester County and South Carolina move forward. They give generously to charitable causes, they have a child in public school, and they are very concerned about the future of this community and state.

Jenny has the personality, the energy, the knowledge, and the determination to face head on the problems we currently face. Jenny understands what needs to be done to improve education, to support smart growth management, to attract new and clean industry, and to bring jobs and economic prosperity to Dorchester County - all without adding more taxes to our personal budgets. Jenny will be a voice for the common man and woman, and she appreciates the fact that many people are on fixed incomes because of retirement or disabilities.

Stopping illegal immigration into our state will be another top priority for her and she sees the need for tougher penalties for those who violate the laws and receive incentives that the average citizen does not have available. She will be a worthy advocate for this cause.

I ask you to look at the candidates objectively. Our community has the unique opportunity to elect a leader we can be proud of. Please join me in voting for Jenny Horne on June 10th. It's time to put a leader with common sense to work for us in Dorchester and Charleston Counties.
