It was very interesting to read the letter that appeared in the May 15ht Summerville Sun form Richard Ross about Randy Scott. Mr. Ross claims that he has just moved to this area from Hollywood, California, and has already had enough of the "good ole boy's club" than he wants to.

Of course it may be that Mr. Ross didn't really write the letter but is helping with someone else's political campaign.

Mr. Ross probably isn't real familiar with this county, the politics or the political history. He wasn't here when Mike Rose was the senator. Most of us who remember that simply do not want Rose representing us again, not that he really represented us before.

Randy Scott is a fine, outstanding man who has been duly elected by the majority of Dorchester County voters to County Council AND to the Senate. The man has not been convicted of anything, yet Mr. Ross has already condemned him. Most people who are criticizing Randy Scott haven't taken the time to look at the video tape of him. It is clear that he was not impaired. He asked for a lawyer many times.

He was nice, not rude. He got perturbed after repeatedly asking for an attorney. I would have gotten upset long before that, especially being falsely accused.

Does randy walk a little differently? Yes, but that's always. He has a prosthetic leg.

Unlike Mike Rose, Randy Scott is in tune with average citizens. He owned a small business, he is not a lawyer, and he really is dedicated to doing a good job.

Randy Scott is a caring, hard working public servant and you can be assured that I will vote for him, and I hope other Dorchester County citizens will go to the polls on Election Day and exercise their prerogative to vote.
