The Special Olympians, Dorchester Dragons representated the low country well at the Spring Games at Ft. Jackson May 2 and May 3. The softball team earned silver medals in competition, while the swimmers brought home numerous medals and ribbons. A great time was had by all.

The Dorchester Dragons have over 100 special athletes participating in various sports. Currently, they are competing in cheerleading, softball and swimming. The Dragons have just completed competing in basketball and bowling. Dragon girls who learned cheerleading skills competed Saturday April 12 and won the silver medal in Columbia. The Dorchester Dragon basketball team recently participated in a game in Charleston and the swim team competed in Mt. Pleasant on Sunday, April 20. The Dragon athletes traveled to Fort Jackson May 4 and 5 for the Special Olympics games in softball and swimming.
