Members of the Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club recently traveled to Branchville to view the devastation from the March 15, 2008, tornado which destroyed the Town Hall and other downtown businesses. The Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club presented a check in the amount of $1,200 to help the residents of Branchville. Branchville Mayor Tim Cooner was touched by the show of support and indicated that the money would be used to help the community rebuild. The Summerville Oakbrook Rotary Club encourages other civic clubs to make donations to the Town of Branchville.
