Del Webb, an active adult community for
adults 55 and better, hosted a Hard Hat Tour of their new 20,000 square-
foot
recreation and amenities center on Saturday, June 21, 2008.
The Hard Hat Tour, which over 60 current and potential residents attended,
gave guests a sneak peek of the new amenities center, "The Resort." The
facility will include: a heated lap and aqua aerobics swimming pool,
Nautilus fitness facility, arts and crafts studio, meeting and multi-
purpose
spaces and gathering rooms. "The Resort" also offers residents a variety of
outdoor amenities such as sidewalk trails, courts for bocce, tennis, and
pickle ball, and a pier with a lawn for entertaining.
After the presentation, guests grabbed a hard hat and proceed on the guided
tour led by Del Webb staff and residents. Amenities center's rooms
displayed images and sample equipment to illustrate the look and function
of
the finished room. The tour ended with a reception at the Welcome Center
and
a free concert by Bennie Anderson and the Drifters.
