Please take a few minutes to fill out a regional planning survey at
www.ourregionourplan.org. The survey is giving all residents of the
tri-county area the opportunity to express opinions about how our region
should grow and is the first step by the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester
Council of Governments in their effort to create a plan to guide the
region's growth. Their effort is to create a better quality of life for
residents in the tri-county area, but they need more public input from a
larger cross-section of the community. Questions regarding historical
preservation and supporting small businesses are mixed into the survey.
There is also a public meeting on Saturday, July 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3
p.m.
at the North Charleston Convention Center to present the preliminary
findings of the survey, and continue the process of local participation in
the planning process. You do need to register for the meeting; however,
they are encouraging residents and small business owners to come out and
voice their opinion. The more people that attend, the better then plan
will
represent everyone.

at the BCDCOG at (843) 529-0400.
