The Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Skinner Nurseries, the leading supplier of green goods for landscape construction in the South, to its new branch in Summerville. Dorchester County Council Chairman Larry Hargett cut the ribbon at the recent grand opening celebration.

The seven acre site, located at 347 Jedburg Road, carries a full line of B&B and container trees, shrubs, groundcovers, vines, annuals, perennials, and specialty plants. Rusty Reeder, who has been a Branch Manager with Skinner Nurseries since April 2007, will head the new location. Rusty has been in the green goods industry his entire life, working for 17 years in his family's tree nursery.

Nursery hours are: Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 5 pm; Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm; closed Saturday and Sunday. Call Skinner Nurseries at (843) 285-7995 or visit their web site at www.skinnernurseries.com .
