place and Best in Category for her mouse clay sculpture ...
and 1st place for her wheel thrown clay drum.
Elsie Conklin (in the Senior Citizen Non Professional Category)
won a 1st place ribbon for her frog planter.
Irene Most (in the Senior Citizen Non Professional Category) won
a 2nd place ribbon for her lamp and 2nd place for her pitcher and bowl.
Jeanette Oswald (in the Senior Citizen Non Professional Category)
won a 2nd place ribbon for her small vase and 1st place and Best in
Category for her vase with seashells, fish and seaweed
Hilary Piselli (in the Senior Citizen Non Professional Category)
won a 1st place ribbon for each of her ginger jars.
Gale Russell (in the Hobbyist Category) won a 3rd place ribbon
for her pitcher & bowl set.
Gayle Sauer (in the Senior Citizen Professional Category) won a
1st place ribbon, Best in Category ribbon and a trophy for Best in
Professional Category Show for her Dogwood dish. She also one 1st place
ribbons for her wisteria wall hanging and dogwood wall plaque.
Students of the Faith Sellers Senior Center Ceramics class, along with
their instructor, Crystal Long, entered ceramics and clay pieces at the
40th Annual Ceramics Convention on June 13th in Columbia. This is a
statewide competition. The South Carolina State Ceramic Association awarded
ribbons to the following senior center members:
