The Green Wave Varsity football team began two a days in
preparation for a challenging season. With the new high school opening,
many of the talented young players are not available for usual depth
available. Coach McKissick has however experienced this before when Ft.
Dorchester opened and created the same situation.
Teresa Kindle's girls were hard at work in the gymnasium looking
to build on their successes of last year. With a more experienced team, a
state championship is definitely possible.
The courts were alive the sound of raquets as the Green Wave
girls get warmed up.
The Ashley Ridge Girls' Volleyball team began practices August 1.
Under the direction of Coach Chi Chi Hurley, the lady Swamp Foxes show a
good bit of potential for their premier season.
As always, the SHS band was in the heat preparing for another
amazing performance schedule. Finishing second in last year's state
competition has inspired them to use every possible avenue to beat Wando.
Coach Guard had the SHS cheerleaders working toward their usual
level of excellence.
