"Goldminer" (watercolor) by Karl Farber
Karl Farber, after a career in the Navy, channeled his painting interests
on watercolor. He spent his formative years as art editor of his college
newspaper and yearbook, so art's always been a part of his life.
Farber moved to Goose Creek, SC from River Bend, NC, and he's now
concentrating on painting marine scenes (with fishing boats and sailboats),
and on rural scenes (with dairy and tobacco barns). The human figure, and
portraits in particular, have always fascinated him. Karl's studied with
some of the very best artists in the country including Tony Couch, Don
Andrews and Alex Powers.
Karl's a member of the SC Watermedia Society and the Charleston Artist
Guild. His artwork will be displayed and for sale during the month of
September at Crowfield Golf & Country Club, 300 Hamlet Circle, Goose Creek,
SC. For examples of his work, visit www.karlfarber.com or you may view his
work by appointment at his Goose Creek studio by calling 843-764-0775.
