Mad River Grills Hosts Fund Raiser for Trident Literacy on September 4

Mad River Grill in downtown Charleston is hosting a fundraiser for Trident Literacy Association on September 4, 6 to 9 p.m.

"Everyone is welcome to support literacy at Mad River on September 4," announced Eileen Chepenik, Trident Literacy's executive director. "We will have celebrity bartenders and entertaining activities." Guests are encouraged to donate a gently-used book for Trident Literacy's upcoming book sale. Ornaments of HopeTM will also be available for purchase.

Mad River Grill has made fundraising for local charitable organizations part of their mission. "We see this fundraiser as a way to support Trident Literacy's work in the community," states Nikki Meyer, sales manager at Mad River.

Among the celebrity "bartenders" are Bryce Donovan of the Post and Courier, Sheldon Dutes of WCSC News, Janet Walsh of The Wolf 96.9, and WWWZ "Da Breakfuss Club" hosts Tessa Spencer, Baby J and DJ Natty Heavy.

Trident Literacy Association is a leading provider of basic literacy, GED- prep, English as a second language, WorkKeys Career Readiness training, and computer instruction for adults in the tri-county.
