As fall ushers in the beginning of school, cooler temperatures and sports
events galore, The Modeling Studio begins its own new season of programs t
promote top their looks. With the assistance of a few volunteers from
Pinewood Preparatory School, Avis MacLellan shows how young people can work
to develop self-esteem, motivation and possibly a career in modeling.
As the owner of The Modeling Studio, Mrs. MacLellan works with students
beginning at age five and continuing through adulthood. Students are
grouped by age to insure the most developmentally appropriate training.
There are never more than twelve students per session.
Classes are held in the studio's 821 West Richardson location. The facility
is equipped with runway, TV and electronic equipment and everything one
could require for modeling, fashion and personal grooming A large library
of information pertaining to modeling is also available. There are no
admission requirements, only the desire for self-enhancement.
"Building up a young person by giving them strong self worth creates a
positive attitude. This in turn will help develop positive thinking,
positive emotions, positive actions and hence a positive, successful
person. Ultimately, they can move on to their chosen career with
enthusiasm and vigor, and live a fulfilled and positive life", Avis
MacLellan said.
